If you are UQ Alumni or staff, you can host your wedding ceremony at one of Brisbane’s most scenic outdoor locations. With river frontage, lakes, picture perfect greenery and iconic sandstone buildings, you’ll have the perfect backdrop to capture your special day. We offer flexibility are dedicated to creating the wedding you envision.
Leafy and tranquil. The Natural Amphitheatre (pictured) overlooks the fountains and serenity of UQ Lakes, between large trees and natural flora. Beautiful photographic opportunities await every turn.
Peaceful and intimate. The Alumni Court is tucked away amongst the historic, sandstone buildings of the Great Court.

- 2-hour exclusive use of either the Natural Amphitheatre Ceremony Lawn or Alumni Court
- Full set-up, styling & pack down of the ceremony site

You have the choice between two beautiful reception spaces on the historical grounds of the University of Queensland.
The Innes Room is a traditional reception venue, located on its own private floor overlooking the manicured grounds of the university. The space is elegantly finished with a stunning parquetry floor, floor to ceiling windows and expansive private balcony. The room features a private bar and kitchen with exclusive use of facilities on your wedding day. This is a truly flexible space with a simple, open design that will suit any event style and configuration. Set the mood with a personalised soundtrack using our PA system.
The Holt Room is ready to be transformed into your dream reception venue. It is the perfect space for those looking to host a large wedding without feeling cramped, with natural light and a private balcony making the room bright and airy.
Our Wedding Reception Package offers you choice at an affordable price without compromising on the quality. Choose from a 3-course reception package or buffet option. We can also create a bespoke package to better suit your needs, please contact us for more information.
